Frequently asked questions.

Salon Policies

We are committed to providing our clients and their pets with outstanding, high-quality customer service in a safe and secure environment. Please take a moment to review and understand our salon policies. You agree to follow the policies and procedures below while in our building by scheduling an appointment with us.

All clients and pets must have a complete and up-to-date profile in our client portal. New and existing clients can access register and update their information using our mobile app.

Vaccination Requirements

To comply with the state of Georgia laws, we require your pet's Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Kennel Cough, and Influenza (both strains) vaccines to be up-to-date and on file. We will cancel your reservation if you do not meet vaccination requirements in advance.

Pricing

Pricing depends on breed, coat length, skin and coat condition, temperament, age, and grooming history. We charge an additional $75 per hour for pets with matted coats. We will charge extra for flea treatment.

Grooming Times

Unlike many "groomers" and "dog washers," we focus on your pet's wellness. We will take the time necessary to provide the best service. Elderly pets and those with matted coats require extra care. We will estimate your pet's grooming time after our initial examination of their skin and coat.

Cancellation + Rescheduling + No-Show + Late Arrivals

Every cancellation, no-show, or rescheduling represents a missed opportunity to schedule an  appointment with another client. Once you schedule an appointment, we reserve our team members' times for your pet and do not make changes. There are no exceptions to this policy.

  • We require a credit card on file to reserve an appointment in our salon. We may require a deposit for new clients or those who consistently reschedule or cancel appointments.

  • We send out reminders when you book an appointment. We will email and text an additional reminder 48 hours before your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require a 48-hour notice to avoid cancellation fees.

  • We will charge you 100% of the service fee if you are a no-call, no-show, or cancel on the appointment day. If you cancel with less than 48-hour notice, we will charge you 50% of the service cost fee. Fees are non-refundable.

  • When booking a new appointment, you must pay the full cost of a previously missed appointment. We will deduct the rescheduling fee from the advance payment when rescheduling an appointment with less than 48 hours' notice.

  • Please arrive on time. We cannot accept appointments that are more than 15 minutes late. We will partially charge you for a missed appointment, and must reschedule for an alternate time. We require pre-payment when a client is late for two or more previous appointments.

Transportation Services

We offer transport service to and from your home or business. The price depends on the round-trip mileage from our salon. We require a credit card to be on file. You will receive an invoice through our app or your email. We require payment the same day we provide services. We will charge the card on file the next day if we do not receive a payment.

Pick-Up

We are a salon and do not provide daycare services. We will notify you with a phone call or text message if needed when we finish with your canine companion. We require them to be picked up within 30 minutes of notification or will charge you $25 per additional 15 minutes with us.

Client Satisfaction

If you are unsatisfied with our services, we'll gladly offer you a "retouch" appointment. You must contact us within three days of your original appointment. We will schedule your retouching appointment with the same stylist who performed the service. Retouch appointments are free when scheduled within 14 days of the original service. There are no refunds for services rendered.

how often should you groom your dog?

Full Groom:

For dogs with long, medium, or short coats, a full groom is essential to keep their fur in top condition. Here's how often you should schedule a full groom:

- Long Coat: Every 4 weeks

- Medium Coat: Every 4 weeks

- Short Coat: Every 8 weeks

Maintenance Groom:

In between full grooming sessions, maintenance grooming helps keep your dog's coat looking its best. The frequency of maintenance grooming depends on your dog's coat texture and the interval between full groom appointments. For long-coated dogs, a maintenance groom should be scheduled every 2 weeks.

Bath & Blow Out:

Regular baths are vital for maintaining your dog's skin and coat health. Depending on your dog's coat texture and the interval between full groom appointments, here's how often you should schedule a bath and blowout:

- Long & Medium Coats: Every 2 weeks

Bath:

Contrary to common assumptions, short-coated dogs also require regular grooming, including baths. To keep their coat clean and healthy, short-coated dogs should be bathed every 3 to 4 weeks.

Home Maintenance:

Aside from professional grooming appointments, home maintenance plays a significant role in keeping your dog's coat in optimal condition. Here are some home grooming tips tailored to different coat types:

- Long Coat: Daily grooming with a slicker brush and metal comb, followed by misting with H270 from Iv San Bernard before brushing and combing thoroughly.

- Medium Coat: Brushing 2 to 3 times per week with a slicker or pin brush and metal comb, accompanied by misting with H270 from Iv San Bernard before brushing and combing.

- Short Coats: Weekly grooming with a rubber curry and boar’s brush, followed by applying Black Passion Argan Oil from Iv San Bernard to polish the coat and spread it evenly.
